Testing Web Sites Blog

WebDepend operates a blog called Testing Web Sites, which is focused on providing hints, tips, reviews and other information for project, account or business managers (web developers too if they are interested) involved in testing web sites.

Testing Web Sites blog

Our Testing Web Sites blog provides advice and tips for project managers or anyone who has to test web sites

Often, needing to fully and adequately test web sites is thrust upon individuals who would rather be working on other tasks. Those agencies or businesses that do not have a dedicated quality control or QA department have to muck in and do the testing themsleves.

What we are trying to do with Testing Web Sites is to enable those project managers, account managers or anybody that has to test websites to find information on how best to approach website testing and pick up decent advice to help with the whole testing and website launch process.

The blog also offers the opportunity to comment on specific testing experiences, vent a bit of frustration from time to time and gives us the opportunity to practice what we preach in terms of raising the visitor numbers arriving at the blog and providing them with a good experience.

One of the ways of building visitors (and incoming links) is to provide a resource and what we are doing on Testing Web Sites is to provide a directory of testing tools, divided up into categories, which highlights the tools that can really help any website tester depending on what they area they are testing.

We have put together categories such as usability testing tools, browser checking tools, accessibility testing tools and web analytics software and many more and now have well over 100 testing software applications and tools in total.
